Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the phenomenological views of the youth about their problems during their adaptation process to university life. It is aimed to determine what kind of changes occur in their lives after they start university, in which areas they experience problems, how these problems effects their daily lives and what they do to overcome these problems. In the course of this study, qualitative method is used, interviews are made and analysed. The participants are 40 volunteers chosen among the university students from 16 diverse departments. Results indicate that, university students mostly feel lonely, they live discrepancies with the other members of their circle of friends, they have complaints about sleeping and eating disorders. These determined needs emphasize the importance of professional psychological counseling services in the institutions of higher education.
