Summary/Abstract: Moral identity has been a research topic of many research areas in foreign literature due to the fact that it encourages moral behaviors and prevents immoral behaviors. However, there are few studies about moral identity in Turkish. For this reason, in this study, it was aimed to adapt Moral Identity Scale (Aquino ve Reed, 2002) to Turkish. This is an instrument adaptation study. The participants of this study were the students of Dicle University, Ziya Gökalp Faculty of Education. In this study Moral Identity Scale and The Ethics Behavior Rating Scale were used to collect data. According to results of Explanatory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis conducted within the scope of this study, Turkish version of Moral Identity Scale preserves its original structure. Based on the results of this study, it can be said that Turkish version of Moral Identity Scale can be used as a valid and reliable instrument for future studies about moral identity. In this context, a research concerning the variables that effect the moral identity can be conducted. Additionally, the relationship between moral identity and various socio-moral problems or prosocial behaviors can be examined.
