Summary/Abstract: Syria slowly entered under Turkish domination with Hanoglu Harun that is the earliest Turcoman entrance to the region in 1064. He was followed by Uvakoglu Atsiz (1070-1079). Damascus, Jerusalem, and Akka was under the control of the Seljuks during this period. The provision of authority in the area was established by Tacuddevle Tutus, the Melik of the Syrian Seljuks (1079-1094).However, after the death of Tutus in 1094, his sons, Ridvan and Dukak, divided Syrian administration into two parts. This event was also precursor of breakdown of the state because the time period between 1094-1104 witnessed to the struggles of groups for gaining authority. As a result of this struggles many people died. In this article, significant results of these minor disputes, and their impacts on fate of the region will be analyzed.
