Summary/Abstract: In the 19th century, during the spread of ideas that arose with the French Revolution, the Armenians who gained the title of millet-i sadıka (loyal people/nation) were also influenced by nationalist movements. Armenian seperatist communities went into action on Ottoman Armenians in this century. As a matter of fact, Hampartsoum Boyadjian of Adana was interested in the revolutionary movements while he was a student in Istanbul. He joined the ranks of seperatist Armenian Hunchakian Party and took an active role inside. Moreover, he participated in the Kumkapı demonstrations which was carried out by the aforementioned organization in 1890 and organized the Sasun uprising. In regard to representation of Armenians in the Ottman parliament by Boyadjian, who was elected as a deputy from Kozan, while playing an active role in the seperatist Hunchakian Party, this study aims to assess the case in the light of parliamentary minutes.
