Summary/Abstract: Arnold J. Toynbee is one of the most important philosophers and historian of the 20th, he puts forward ideas about history and civilization also penned some books thus he marked his contemporary time. Another thing that makes him important is that Turkey, Greece and pay close attention to issues related to the Middle East. He has done valuable work in this title and observations. Toynbee was an important philosopher of the history of the period, as the official guest of the Republic of Turkey came to Turkey in 1948. During the four weeks of his travel, mainly including Istanbul and Ankara also he has toured several cities and villages of Anatolia. During his travel time has tried to follow and understand of Cultural and political changes experienced in the transition from the Ottoman Empire to Republic. On his return to England he wrote a short treatise about the trip. In this study will be discussed the written treatise by Toynbee's in the title of the “Today the Republic of Turkey", his observations and findings about Turkish modernization.
