Accidents in agriculture jobs: the concept

Summary/Abstract: Agriculture is an industry with a high rate of accidents at work. Issues related to agricultural accidents at work are governed by the Act of 20 December 1990 on farmers' social insurance. Due to the persistently low level of safety on farms, it is very important to correctly define and use the provisions of social insurance against accidents at work. The concept of an accident in agricultural jobs is of primary importance. It is necessary to amend it because its interpretation raises numerous questions and doubts. Examples of case-law and doctrine indicate legal problems, which remain to be solved.
