Summary/Abstract: The first major Muslim/Turkish migration from the Balkans to Anatolia has taken place as a result of the Ottoman-Russian War in the year 1877-1878 and continued until recently. Romania is one of the countries where the migration occurred. Especially, between the years of 1930-1940 there has been intense migration from Romania to Anatolia. In this study, the data given in settlement book contained in the Archive of Republic of Prime Minister and containing the data of immigrants settled to Kozan and Ceyhan in 1936 is evaluated by examining the causes of the migration from Romania to Turkey in the first years of the republic.
