Accumulating knowledge about disruptions in the material decoupling point of supply chain

Summary/Abstract: A location of the material decoupling point as well as roles such an entity performs in the supply chain are a result of the adopted competitive strategy of the entire supply chain. These factors are connected with the product differentiation that is with the strategy of early and delayed product differentiation. The purpose of the article is to show determinants of solutions in the accumulation of knowledge about disruptions. The article has a conceptual character. Literature studies were carried out in the scope of product differentiation, the role of the material decoupling point, disruptions and knowledge management.
