Summary/Abstract: The article tries to systematize key factors which have influence on post-war economic development of Japan. Three key aspects of Japanese economic success after the Second World War were given and characterised: effective management and logistic strategies, society savings and cooperation of private sector with public administration. Japanese sui generis issues were raised both in term of logistic strategy and decision making processes inside the firm (nemawashi, ringi) as well as problems of specifically Japanese relations between government administration and private sector (amakudari). The article also discusses the issue of promotion by the state the accumulation of savings by the Japanese under “off-budget policy”. The paper emphasises an original Japanese terminology of subject issues too.
