Summary/Abstract: At present, in terms of health and social care and community based rehabilitation, it is needed to attend to social support for the chronically ill individuals. One of the important groups are patients, who have undergone various forms of lower limb amputation. The aim of this publication is to define the content of social support that is applicable to these clients. The method of secondary analysis of laws and orders that contain guidelines on this issue in the Czech Republic, has been chosen. According to the opinions of clients with lower limb amputations, on the quantitative part, there are enough legal norms, although some qualitative parts must be solved individually.
