Summary/Abstract: What happens to the (state financed) repertory theatre and the private theatre structures all over Europe? What new forms emerge from their interaction and what are the organisational-economic difficulties in keeping these new forms alive? How has artists’ mobility changed throughout the years? In an ample survey based on the widely experienced author, Dragan Klaic, this study also points to future trends for the activities and endeavors of repertory theatres, booking houses, groups, production houses and programmed venues.
