Summary/Abstract: The article contains a survey of research on appeal in Roman law in older and contemporary legal roman science (XIX-XXI c.) concerning the to a principles in regulation of appeal during the Principate and the Late Antiquity. It has been traced the reception of some of these principles in modern legislation. It was found indirect nature of this reception-by medieval law.
