Summary/Abstract: Introduction: The alcohol issue is one of the most frequent health disorders nowadays. It refers to both poor and the richestones, to successful and fauly average people; it concerns all social ranks. Natality decreases and percentage of seniors increases not only in Slovakia. They oftens werve from the right way and become addicted on variol forms of addictions. Therefore it is necessary to deal with the issue and not to put off the seniors to the edge of society. Thesis Focus: Main goal of the Thesis is to find out specific Leeds of seniors with living addictions in social service facilities, which would serve as a foundation for searching the application methods of social work with the given group. Material and Methodology: In order to achieve conclusion processing, based upon personal contact with participants, built on an individual approach towards clients, there was chosen a qualitative research. It is in numeric research, built on research questions. Data collection was realized via structured interview with open questions. Results: Addiction as well as its consequences do have an influence not only on health condition of a senior, but also on the subjective evaluation of its users. The addiction also negatively influences social status of a senior. Addicted seniors have thein specific requirements for fulfilling the life quality. Conclusion: The facts prove there is an urgent need to deal with the isme of the senior addiction in a social service facilities more intensively and not to leave the isme solution only within the handsof caretakers and social workers. We believe the presented results will help for the further research of such complicated issue in a vicious circle of addictions. At the same time we wish to all addicted individuals, younger and olderones, to both women and men to be convinced on the necessity of thein permanent abstinence.
