Summary/Abstract: Public Houses were first established in fourteen city centers on February 19th, 1932. Public houses have always been intended to serve the country and its people. Public houses were concerned with the history of their site of establishment and people’s education, as well as facilitating the socialization of countrymen with townsmen and providing public with a sense of cooperation. Bilecik Public House, which failed to go into operation on the day of its intended opening to take place on February 19th, 1932, started service on June 24th, 1932. Upon its opening, it began activities in the following seven branches: 1- Language History and Literature Branch, 2-Stage Play Branch, 3- Sports Branch, 4-Social Aid Branch, 5-Public Classes and Courses Branch, 6-Library and Publication Branch, and 7-Village Branch. Fine Arts Branch was founded in 1934; however, Museum and Exhibition Branch did not appear among the departments of Bilecik Public House.
