Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to examine Iran’s policy towards Iraq since 2011 by considering regional dynamics. The article argues that after 2011 US troops withdrawal from Iraq, Iran has developed the strategic cooperation with Iraq in the field of security. 2013 afterwards with the emergence of DAESH, Iran has once again faced the danger of having an enemy along the border. 2013 afterwards with the strengthening of DAESH in Iraq, the Turkish-Iranian competition has increased, and the main focus was on the security of Iraq and the fight against DAESH. The study concludes that Iran’s Iraq policy after 2011 was a product of strategies developed within the national security interests of Iran, foreseeing the transformation of threats and shaped within a certain systematic way.
