Summary/Abstract: The increase in the speed of mobility of labor factor with the proliferation of globalization has taken the unemployment to the point of being exportable or importable. Within this context, unemployment existing at any country in the world has become the common problem of the World. Therefore, one of the common purposes of applied economic policies has also been decreasing the unemployment. But, in time, it is revealed that the policies which only aim to decrease the unemployment could not be succesfull in the long term. Consequently, it is observed that it is necessary to support the unemployment theories with other theories that aim to eliminate the factors caused unemployment in the first place. Macroeconomic variables that cause unemployment were identified through 2000Q1-2015Q3 data in this study, and within this context by using Granger casuality analysis, some policy suggestions were offered.
