Summary/Abstract: While the emphasis is placed on the importance of image as an effective means of communication, the priority of the illustration should not be overlooked. Expression of emotion, thoughts and ideas in painting can be thought of as the simplest definition of illustration.The picture is not just free time for individuals. It is known that conscious or unconscious human brains have increased their level of understanding by providing continuous work. The purpose of this research is to discover that hearing impaired students may be a bridge between inner and outer worlds and that illustrations will contribute; that is to demonstrate the importance of art education in the education of hearing-impaired students, a special education school. It is a special education school. Addressing the sense of sight of students with disabilities who are deprived of hearing, the usability of illustration in arts education and the contribution of achievements of students with an educational point of view are tried to be searched. Pre-test and post-test control group models (ÖSKD) were used in the study. Two study groups were formed as control group and experimental group and they are selected according to random selection. In one of the group, studies prepared with illustration technique were explained to students and in the other group, the steps of the studies made by sign language were followed. In the study, 20 students from Konya, "Konevi Hearing Impaired Secondary School", and for sample, 20 students from secondary schools in the grade 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th who are selected as experimental and control groups.As a result of the research, it was determined that the illustration contributed significantly to the hearing impaired students. Within the student-centered education system, the effective use of illustrations in art education has been achieved as a result of the fact that special education students are more productive in achieving achievements in visual arts education.
