Summary/Abstract: The semantic coverage of the health concept is, certainly, not limited only to the pronunciation of the medical terminology. The issue also depends on the massive in media presentation of the sociological-cultural and technological aspects of the terminology. Because the state of being healthy represents a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, rather than a condition in which there is no illness. The definition of "socially" reveals the relation of health with a wide space and it covers everything related to society. The whole topics of this wide frame are the area that was established that of constituent discourse "healthy people" and "healthy society" definitions. Is it possible to talk about the fixed conditions of an optimal healthy life? Is it possible to define a healthy life that may be valid for each term? What are the key determinants and indicators of a healthy society? How do the media content and its rhetoric contribute to or distort the image of a "healthy society"? Are the medical technology and its bureaucracy an obstacle to healthy society? What are the inferences of Ivan Illich's concept of "clinical iatrogenesis" to theoretical and technical description of a healthy society? What are the arguments or justifications of the views that assert that the social organism may also become ill? It is valid the same arguments be said for also the medical field? In the light of these questions, a literary screening about a "healthy society" can give us a concrete idea. In this study, general evaluation of problems related to community health will be made Erich Fromm’s “The Sane Society” and Ivan Illich’s “Medical Nemesis” under the guidance of key words of his books. Will focused on a critical reading will be done in the mainstream written and electronic media on the axis of the concept of "fear appeal" of news contents and rhetoric that produced about individual health and healthy society.
