Summary/Abstract: There are various media groups broadcasting in the field of radio and television with the transition to private broadcasting in Turkey. These media groups differ structurally from each other. The Turkish media has undergone significant changes in the ownership structure since the early 1990s depending on privatization. Media groups tend to increase their profitability by operating in many sectors, not just in the media. Especially they are active in sectors such as construction, mining and banking. However, in the printing and distribution business, some media groups constitute monopolies. This makes them superior to other media groups. In this study, the ownership structure of the Turkish media will be examined within the framework of the ownership structure of the media, and what kind of merging of media groups will be examined. Doğan Broadcasting Group, Turkuvaz Media Group, Es Medya, Albayrak Group, Ciner Group, Doğuş Group, İhlas Holding, Demirören Group were taken from the Turkish media groups for the study.
