TO ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT VARIABLES REGISTERED TRT REPERTORY OF BERGAMA FOLK SONGS

Summary/Abstract: Producing studies, in which our original culture is researched by the scientific methods, is important in terms of being able to transfer our national culture to the next generations, its being able to develop, gain an international quality, and recognize. Our folk songs (ballads) are an important concept and phenomenon of our original musical culture. Setting off from here, the general aim of the study were determined as examining Bergama ballads recorded in TRT repertoire in terms of the different variables. In the framework of this general aim, 34 ballads belonging to Bergama locality, recorded in TRT repertoire, were examined in terms of being vocal or instrumental, compiling person, notating person, ordinance voice, and the variables of mode and tempo. During examination of the ballads dealt with in the scope of the study, “content analysis method”, among qualitative analysis method, was used. Percent frequency distribution of the findings obtained was taken, and the tables showing distribution were descriptively explained, Since this study, in which Bergama Ballads were examined, are expected to contribute to the original area studies due to the fact that any study was not earlier conducted on the subject, it is considered to be a useful study.
