Summary/Abstract: The paper provides a synthetic exposure ofa broader and in-depth study on the idea ofpurity of the emerging new Bulgarian literary language during the Renaissance. The purizm is interpreted as an accepted language doctrine expressed in the struggle for the emancipation of the Bulgarian language in the active action of cleaning of foreign grammatical and lexical resources.
