Summary/Abstract: The relevance of the study is explained by modern requirements to educationprocess, pedagogic goals aimed at improving education quality, as a result the emotional tension andfatigue increases among university teachers. In this regard, this article is aimed at identifying therelationship between teachers’ professional burnout and self-regulation. The leading method toinvestigate this problem is the technique of diagnosing levels of emotional burnout and emotionalbarriers in education interpersonal communication allowing considering comprehensively teachers’professional burnout as a result of long-term professional stresses of medium intensity. The articlepresents university teachers’ characteristics with high and moderate degrees of emotional burnoutsyndrome. Article disclosed that teacher’s professional burnout depends on the integration ofpersonal qualities and abilities. The article is of practical value for elaboration and differentiationcomprehensive programs for correction and prevention of emotional burnout among universityteachers, taking into account their abilities to self-regulation.
