Summary/Abstract: Article presents the Polish and German approach to the issue of professional activation of the disabled. Both models, in many respects, especially from the normative, are similar. Poland took over many German solutions and have adapted them to national circumstances. The German support system is a coherent system, and is being implemented successfully. While the Polish system of support for people with disabilities characterized by low efficiency and employment effectiveness of this social group, as a result of many factors, mainly the obstruction system. Poland is currently at the stage of implementation of measures to change the model policy of support for people with limited efficiencies by implementing more personalized support mechanisms (eg. Job-coach, services assistants of people with disabilities), or instruments that encourage enterprise market and social to employ the disabled and supporting the development of entities social economy.
