Summary/Abstract: The subject matter of the analyzes in the following material is the development tendencies of Slovak didactic thought in the aspect of the human essence and the quality of the student – teacher interaction, the content of the curriculum, diagnostics, neurodidactics and the child's life in the school environment. Attention also was paid to the community in the classroom.
