Premonitions of war. Cyril Christov’s Diaries – 10th Volume

Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on issues of nationalism and the attitude to the foreigners and it tries to provoke reevaluation of the past and analogies with modern life. Diaries as texts are close to the modern humanitarian practice: they contain a number of short stories, which similarly to the contemporary reflexive prose are an argument to a thesis; as documents of everyday life they successfully serve the needs and fashionable tendencies in historiography. This research studies the Diaries as an interdisciplinary text where Cyril Christov with his high erudition makes multidirectional significant generalizations from his personal observations.
