Summary/Abstract: Distancing herself from the literary traditions of Hungarian playwriting, Panna Adorjáni analyses – from the perspective of the critic and theatre-maker – three contemporary Hungarian texts from Transylvania: Csaba Szabó Róbert’s Butchers, Péter Demény’s Bolero and Zsolt Láng’s Bartók’s Piano. She states that these tell stories of the excellence and uniqueness of the intellectual middle class.
