Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to obtain the opinions of teachers concerning the visual design of course books and develop recommendations regarding the visual designs of course books. From the qualitative research methods, the interview method has been used in this study. The obtained data have been solved with the content analysis technique. The study group of this research is composed of 44 Turkish and classrooms teachers working in different provinces throughout Turkey during the 2014-2015 education teaching year. At the end of the research, it has been deter-mined that; the course book of students in the age group of 9-10 has to have a clear and understandable page layout, the visuals have to be formed by specialists in a qualified manner and as compatible with the contents. In addition, the teachers have recommended that the course book “should be a witty, colorful, plain and entertaining book in unique dimensions, with blank spaces on its pages to take notes”.
