Summary/Abstract: The relevance of the study depends on addressing to the issue of didactic instruments for academic knowledge co-management in the industry-university system. In thisregard, the article is intended to reveal the didactic potential of multilingual ontology-based VirtualLearning Environments compared to hypertext resources. The relevant literature is reviewed. TheVirtual Learning Environment Onto.plus developed for transport universities is described. Todetermine its efficiency an experiment was conducted. This article may be of practical interest foruniversity instructors and students.
