Luigi Bambulea refers, in his essay, to the problem of the literary canon. The theory of the canon, as seen by the American critic Harold Bloom, has its relevance in the configuration the canonic conscience of the present and future times. His theory is spread in the book and the reader has to make an extra effort in order to recuperate it and reunite the critical fragments in a coherent system. The author of the study tries to identify the elements of a theory of the canon in Bloom’s ”Anxiety of influence” and then he refers the Romanian debate around the canon during the last two decades.
