Accounting Information System In Small And Medium Enterprises: A Research On Enterprises In Kayseri

Summary/Abstract: In addition to being a subsystem of management information systems, accounting information system also integrates accounting with technology. Technological improvements enable the enterprises to make faster and more accurate decisions. This study aims to determine the effect of accounting information system on small and medium-sized enterprises within this context. The study also deals with the perception level in these enterprises regarding management information system, the reform perception for management and the impact of this perception on the enterprises. The study on the effect of accounting information systems on the enterprises’ management systems is sampled on 310 small and medium sized businesses in Kayseri. The research shows a positive impact of management information system on life-span, technology level, and education level of managers and legal status of small and medium-sized enterprises. On evaluating findings, it has been outlined that the study has some constraints and some advice on further future studies has been given.
