Summary/Abstract: In this article the destruction in the artistic creation process will be examined with the focus of ceramic material. It is aimed to create a memory that covers the concept of destruction in the creation process with the use of ceramics. For this purpose, the works of and Ai Weiwei’s “Han Dynasty Urn with Coca-Cola Logo paint and Dropping a Han Dynasty Urn”, Manuel Salvisberg’s “Fragments of History”, David Cushway’s “Fragments”, Monika Patuszyńska’s “Bastards” series, Carl Andre’s “Equivalent VIII”, Claire Twomey’s “Consciousness/Conscience” and “Trophy” have been studied. Examples of the subject in Turkey have been identified and illustrated through the work of three ceramic artists. Burçak Bingöl's "Self-Conscious" and “Yaşanacak Altın Çağların Sonuncusu”, İnsel Inal's “Kendi Şehrini Yarat” and Mustafa Ural's “Aşkın Halleri"were selected. By interpreting these artworks, views of the artists and their relation to destruction are explained.
