Summary/Abstract: Non-cash shopping with solely employment of credit cards leads to tendency towards unconscious consumption, as well as encourages consumers to spend more than their income. Defined as a repetitive act of purchase as a response to unfavourable experiences or negative feelings, compulsive buying is an addiction that causes unnecessary and excessive spending. This study aims to examine consumers’ attitude toward credit card and credit card usage and to reveal impacts of these attitudes on consumers’ compulsive buying behaviours. In scope of the study, a survey has been carried out for 18+ year-old consumers living in Kırıkkale and using credit cards of any bank. Consequent data has been subjected to Independent Sample t Test, One Way ANOVA and Regression Analyze. As a result, this series of analysis has demonstrated that consumers’ attitude toward credit card usage affects the act of compulsive buying.
