Family Birthday – Concept, Case Presentation, Importance

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays in many countries of the world, but especially in the majority of the European countries the population is decreasing due to unfavourable demographic indicators. One of the causes is the lack of the importance of the family. In this paper we introduce the concept of family birthday calculated from the birth dates of the family members. A case presentation based on a traditional family helps for better understanding. Otherwise it is possible to make complex calculations in case of atypical families or specific calculations for spouses and for children. The anniversary of the family birthday can strengthen the relationship between the members of the family and can increase the level of social support.
