Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with language analysis, its nature and characteristics within novel of both science fictional and dystopian literature. It is Samuel Delany’s novel Babel-17, classical work of this literary genre. Specific role and language use in this work is multifunctional: the language is an originator of the plot, main character, as well as the indicator of communication problems of a modern individual.
