Summary/Abstract: Manager’s behaviors in organizations have such a potential as to shape and change the behaviors of employees. In this study, the presence of a relationship of a cynical picture exhibited by employees as well as how managers are perceived by employees from the point of view of humor have been introduced. The study was conducted by means of quantitative data collection tools in 2016 at a public university with the participation of 206 instructors. Research hypotheses have been tested using correlation and regression analysis on the collected data. At the end of the study, a correlation has been found to exist between the humorous behaviors of managers and organizational cynicism. As a result of the regression analysis that has been made, a 20% of change in organizational cynicism is explained through the humorous behaviors of managers. So as to increase positive organizational behaviors, this study has been recommended as an instrument to be used by both managers and other employees in humorous organizations, and to this end it is suggested that more qualitative and quantitative research be carried out in order to study the relationship between humor and other organizational variables and put forth suggestions that will make humor the essence of the organizational culture.
