Summary/Abstract: Pluralistic access to media is widely recognized as one of the foundations of democracy. Drawing upon the data on the presence of politicians in the most influential television and radio political programmes as well as the data on viewership and listenership (from November 2015 to December 2017), the article examines the influence the parties have upon media public sphere in contemporary Poland. The article aims at the assessment of whether parties are over- or under-represented in the Polish media public sphere. The evaluation is achieved by setting the empirical data against the liberal-representative model of democratic public sphere described by Ferree, Gamson, Gerhards and Rucht (2002). The authors argue that the Polish public sphere meets the democratic standards laid down in the theoretical models discussed in the article, despite the fact both public and private media experience certain problems with the adequate representation of various parties.
