Summary/Abstract: This research delas with poetry of Dusan Radovic, one of the most important writers in Serbian literature for children and founder of it’s modern expression. As one of the key characteristics of his poetics, as well as the feature of modern literature for children, criticism recognizes the game so this paper will focus on the game as a device which models Radović’s poetic text. Theoretical standpoint of this research is Lotman’s conception of a game as doublelevelled activity. As modelling activity, game models ludic world according to the real world sample and do not forget reality. It contains both ludic and real component, which reflects at all it’s aspects, consequently on it’s semantic layer. The meaning of element which enters from real world into the ludic world is changing. Real and ludic senses cross making the effect of the game which is not, accoring to Lotman, statical coexistence of two meanings. The effect of game implies that new, ludic meaning remembers original, real meaning, as well as it makes consiousness about potential other meanings. Accordnig to Lotman, it makes consiousness that meanings are vibrating. Choosing the game as a devise which models his poetic text, Dusan Radovic keeps open his poetic text for the effect of the game. The vibrating of meanings in his opus we denominate as the irony game, which constitutes Radovic’s poetic text and multiplies its semantic layer. Between two plans of meaning, literal and ironical, semantic lines multiply modelling its complex semantic layer as the one of the fundamental features of Dusan Radovic’s poetics.
