Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses three books published so far (Violet White - Ženi Lebl; Kanjec filjma - Vera Cenić and All, all, all - Milka Žicina) about the suffering of women on Goli otok after the Resolution of IB in 1948 in Yugoslavia. They are of different genres (memoirs, an autobiographical novel, a (post)modern novel) and they surfaced with the fall of ideological censorship in Yugoslavia and Serbia in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Apart from evidence which serves as a kind of a testament to the coming generations, these pieces show considerable artistic value and unusual literary procedures of congruent symbolization that occur independently from each other. They essentially show a fearsome setting of the experience, as well as integrity and preserved human belief in the existence of humanity and beauty in the world.
