Summary/Abstract: We have observed the poetics of the lyrical cycle and collections of poems of Miodrag Pavlović in the light of the fact that the lyrical cycle is directly aimed at multiple contexts, from a minimal context of an author to a maximum context of world culture, which thus creates a total context of a given text. Whereas the lyrical cycle represents a single whole which in its main characteristics coincides with text, it also develops its semantic links to a wider cultural context which realistically or potentially functions in a given socium (from a collection and an opus of the writer to the widest cultural context). Although the practice of use and application of historical elements in literature is very old, in the field of literary theory the awareness of this phenomenon is not that old. The 20th century theories are mostly based on the actualization of differential qualities of literary facts, which are determined by their relationship either with a literary or extra-literary thread. The function of literary facts depends on the nature of the relationship between these elements, i.e. the practice of signification, productivity, ability to create the multiple meanings of genotext, phenotext and intertextuality.
