Summary/Abstract: In terms of its content, paternalism is a leadership style that reflects the communities in the east rather than the western world. Paternalism has also been researched in Turkey and paternalistic leadership style is in agreement with the Turkish social structure. The mediating role of distributive justice on paternalistic leadership has been examined in this study. For this purpose, 325 members of the workforce of 4 and 5 star hotels in Istanbul have been interviewed. As a result of data analysis, the hypotheses asserting that ethical and helpfulness leadership dimensions, having paternalistic leadership dimension, affect distributive justice are not supported, while other hypotheses of the study are supported. In addition, the authoritarian leadership has a full-mediated effect on paternalistic leadership.
