Summary/Abstract: The title of the article is taken from the collection of essays by African theologians exactly entitled Faces of Jesus in Africa. The editor of this book wrote: “Inculturation of the Gospel remains a prime, if not the prime, item on Africa’s agenda”. The research of the author confirms this assumption. The theology elaborated in the last decades by African theologians is a good illustration of the concept of inculturation elaborated by Nicolas Standaert in his book Inculturation. The Gospel and Cultures: “The Inculturation of the evangelical life and message in a particular cultural context and through the members of that culture”. It is a vivid and fascinating example of dynamic development of Christianity in XXI century in Africa.
