Summary/Abstract: Migration is an old phenomenon. Church has always looked after “people on the move”, but today’s migration crisis challenges her as perhaps never before. Wars, persecutions, search for better living conditions and other factors make migration a chance for different cultures to meet, but also to conflict. Divine Word Missionaries, as members of an international and missionary religious congregation (Society of the Divine Word) assist immigrants and refugees in various ways. Divine Word Missionaries Fu Shenfu Migrant Centre is there to help them integrate into church in Poland and local communities through pastoral care, legal advice, Polish language classes and charitable work. Assistance to migrants is a task and challenge to the Church. Migrants are integral part of the Church. That is why pastoral care of migrants is an important aspect of the missionary activity of the Church.
