Summary/Abstract: It is a reality that the firms producing goods or services frequently benefited process improvement and similar techniques to achieve their objectives In today's competitive environment. Being process-oriented means to give weight to the creation of quality but not to the control of quality. In this sense, process improvement is seen as an approach of Total Quality Management targeted. Hospital information systems are computer systems that collect and archive all or the majority of the hospital data for use in the assessment. It is a major problem that storage of visual data without loss and damage and also the being available of these data as soon as possible in this system. System that called PACS has been developed to overcome this problem. PACS is an archiving system that archive the visual data obtained from imaging systems in different units in a space and, allows the transfer of these data to users at different points when needed. In this study, efficiency of PACS as a process improvement technique was examined by the application of a hospital. It is concluded that the system provide a positive contribution to customers and hospital as an example of an important process improvement at the evaluation of the results and implementation of the system.
