Hydrological forecast of maximal water level in Lepenica river basin and flood control measures

Summary/Abstract: Lepenica river basin territory has became axis of economic and urban development of Sumadija district. However, considering Lepenica and its tributaries disorderly river regime, it is noted water insufficient for water supply and irrigation, while on the other hand, this area is suffering big flood and torrent damages (especially Kragujevac valley). The paper presents flood problems in river basin, maximal water level forecasts and flood control measures, taked until now. It is also suggested some of possible solutions, in the aim of effective flood control.
