Summary/Abstract: On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Ferdinand de Saussure’s lectures in general linguistics at the Geneva University (1906) and the 90th anniversary from the first French edition of these lectures (1916), the author first points to the most important theoretical assumptions of the general-linguistic work of the founder of structuralism and the far-reaching significance of these ideas for the entire contemporary linguistics, and then presents the chronology of the publication of Saussure’s texts, particularly Course in General Linguistics, in the Serbian language, as well as the texts about Saussure’s ideas in the Serbian, and earlier Serbo-Croatian linguistics.
