Summary/Abstract: In this paper net of settlements of municipality Smederevo have been observed as subsystem of periurban ring of Belgrade metropolitan region. Based on relevant theoretic-methodologic suppositions and indicators it has been worked on morphologic, demographic and functional determinants. It was pointed that planning direction of its further development is necessary, in function of providing optimal valorization of natural demographic and socio-economic resources.
