WORKS OF OUR MUSICAL CREATORS COMPOSED FOR DESANKA MAKSIMOVIĆ’S VERSES

Summary/Abstract: According to the insights gained by the author of this paper after the research lasting several years, out musical composers most often found inspiration in Desanka Maksimovic’s love and reflexive poems, and then in her poems for children and patriotic poems. In the last six decades o f the 20th century, our forty three composers wrote different music forms and genres, i.e. one hundred and seventy five vocal-instrumental, vocal and instrumental compositions for the verses of this poetess, nine of which were lost — three cantatas, one poem, four songs for the voice and piano, and one choir composition.
