Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to show the importance of events in increasing the attractiveness of tourist destinations. The example of the World Cup in men ski jumping in the season 2016/2017 in Zakopane demonstrate who are the participants of this type of events and how those participants evaluate the event in the context of undertaken tourist activity. The result of a survey conducted by the author during the competition on 21.01.2017 present the answer to this question.
