Summary/Abstract: The report presents the illustration of the dependency of phonological and phonetic interpretation of the facts on the ability of the researcher to abstract from the stereotypes of the native language. The report also demonstrates the difference of articulatory settings in implementing Russian voiced and voiceless consonants and Turkish consonants opposed on the grounds of otumlu / otumsu (literal "witch are singing / aren’t singing”), which allow to represente more accurately the nature of these consonants and articulatory bases of Turkish language as a whole.
