Summary/Abstract: The dysfunction of reproduction in recent years become increasingly common. Infertility is a part of our society. Today more people are affected by problems related to conception, pregnancy and childbirth. Our study is focused on one of the factors that we think are related to the dysfunction of reproduction- situational and personal anxiety. The shown results of the study on 300 women – 150 mothers and 150 women with infertility. The data confirm the hypothesis that there are differences in the anxiety of mothers and women infertile . The women with inferitile shown significantly higher levels of both situational and personal anxiety. The anxiety`s levels in women with reproductive problems do not depend on age, duration of infertility, the factors which determine the number of in vitro attempts. Therefore the diagnosis “infertility” on its own is traumatic factor that leads to increased anxiety.
